This shower features a beautiful pebble tile floor that has no threshold. This is called a zero-entry floor. This increases the safety of the shower because there is nothing to step over or into to access the shower. The floor is ever so slightly sloped in the center near the drain to keep the water from running out. We also added in a handheld shower head and several grab bars for extra support.

This custom shower also has a beautiful tile floor, but this homeowner wanted to keep his glass doors. This shower was very unique as before it was remodeled, you had to step down 2 big steps to reach the shower floor. SO DANGEROUS especially once the shower was wet. This homeowner originally just wanted us to redo the shower floor that was damaged and discolored. Our Accessibility Consultant recommended raising the floor so that the dangerous steps down into the shower were eliminated. The beautiful tile floor with the tile walls makes for a stunning combination!
This bathroom was special, as it was designed for a gentleman who had mobility struggles due to Polio. His home had a small walk-in shower and a large garden tub. He couldn't access the tub at all so it was basically just taking up space. LiveWell removed the original shower and took out the garden tub. This allowed plenty of room for a large walk-in/roll-in shower with a beautiful tile floor. Whether he is using a walker, cane, or chair, this shower has plenty of space. We also added grab bars so that he has extra support throughout the entire shower.
Here is a smaller bathroom that we recently completed. This bathroom had a shower/tub combo, which also is very dangerous. Having to lift your leg high enough and step into a slippery fiberglass shower/tub creates so many falling hazards. Removing the tub and installing a zero-entry shower creates a much safer bathroom for someone aging in place. This floor is also slanted in the middle to keep the water from flowing out. The beautiful tiles and speckled floor make for a beautiful, trendy shower.
