You know what the patient needs. We build it, and we build it the way you specified. Think of us as an extension of your care team: the contractor who reads the evaluation, calls you with questions, and sends the estimate to you as well as the family.
How we work with your patients
A home evaluation from an OT or PT is the best starting point we ever get. We read it, we walk the house with it in hand, and we call you if what we see does not match what you expected. If you want to be on site for the visit, we schedule around you.
We keep the plan of care in front of us. If you specified a fold-down bench at a certain height, a 36-inch door or a ceiling track over the bed, that is what goes in the estimate, and we tell you before we substitute anything.
What happens after you refer
We call the family within one business day. We also let you know we made contact.
Free in-home evaluation. We measure, watch how the person actually moves through the home, and note what you have already recommended.
A written estimate, to the family and to you. Itemized scope, drawings where needed, before photos, and our license and insurance documents, in the form a plan, program or adjuster asks for.
We build after authorization. Our own licensed crews in Houston, Austin and San Antonio. One project manager from the first visit to the punch list.
Throughout, we keep you posted. If a family goes quiet, or an authorization stalls, you hear it from us.
What we build
Bathroom modifications: roll-in and curbless showers, benches, hand-held sprays, roll-under sinks, comfort-height toilets, grab bars on blocking.
Ramps and no-step entries, permanent, with level landings.
Stairlifts, vertical platform lifts and residential elevators.
Ceiling and patient lifts, including the structural work to hang them.
Doorway widening, hardware, flooring, lighting, and accessible kitchens.
Because we are a design-build remodeler with our own crews, the wall that has to move and the tile that has to be set are the same project as the lift. You do not have to find a second contractor.
Children and families
A good share of our work is for children. We plan for the child the family has now and the teenager they will have, so a ramp or a shower does not have to be rebuilt in five years. Funding paperwork, done the way the program wants it
We do not apply on a family’s behalf and we never promise approval. What we do is give you and the family a complete contractor packet: itemized labor and materials, permits and inspections, drawings where needed, before photos, and our license and insurance documents. That is the packet VA HISA asks for, the specification a CLASS Direct Services Agency needs to get bids, and the estimate a STAR+PLUS or STAR Kids service coordinator or a workers’ compensation adjuster needs to authorize.
